Description

Our flag football league is offered through Canyon County Optimist Football in Nampa, Idaho, and is designed to provide a fun, safe, and development-focused experience for young athletes. Players build fundamental football skills, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, gain confidence, and develop a lasting love for the game while enjoying the excitement of being part of a team.

 

Season Timeline:

Practices Begin: August 10th

Games Begin: Week of August 24th

Championship Week: Week of October 5th

Game Schedule:

Games are played on Monday and Tuesday evenings

Locations include Nampa and Middleton: We have partnered with NFL Flag Middleton

 

Season Format:

5 regular season games

Final 2 weeks: Single-Elimination Championship Playoffs

Development Focus:

Equal playing time for all athletes

One practice per week (60–90 minutes)

Team Formation:

NO tryouts. NO drafts.

Teams are formed by friend or coach request

Individual players will be placed on teams

Coaching: All teams are led by volunteer parent coaches
